 Edward Sendagire is a Social Scientist, His role with Students for Global Democracy Uganda; he focuses on inventions, innovations, creativity and development of initiatives, interventions and packages for enhancing the capacity of SGD Uganda towards the achievement of its mission and objectives. His work with the organization is carried out under the planning, research and development department. Working in or with the department in SGD Uganda means to provide research and technical support for the SGD Uganda activities and programmes. It involves working in liaison with all SGD Uganda departments in identifying and developing future projects and programmes, developing project proposals and research proposals for funding, developing resource mobilization and fundraising strategies, review of strategic plan, conduct and coordination of SGD Uganda Research Project ActivitiesAs a research, scholar and academic, he has profound interest in reading and writing academic and scholarly materials within the social sciences within a multi-disciplinary framework to provide contemporary perspectives of the changing nature of human wants, needs, challenges and problems within our human life. Areas within which he finds topics of great interest to read, research and write about include although not limited to: contemporary international relations and the resurgent realist paradigm on state practice; psychology of terror and intimidation, persuasion and manipulation, control and exploitation of modern human life; psycho-sociology of African attitudes about Africa and what is ‘Africanness’ and about Modernity and what is ‘modern about modernity’; contemporary community-driven development and popular approaches to grassroot people empowerment and enlightenment.His favorite sayings:‘Society Suffers not from Bad Physics, but Bad Politics’, ‘He who taught Man what he knew not with a Pen, taught him the Power of Human Creation’, ‘Live and Let Me Die’, ‘Only Sacrifice Knows the True Meaning of Patience, Only Patience Knows the Real Value of Sacrifice’, ‘Like a Man who Chases his Shadow, So is the Engineer who builds around the Mouth of A River’, ‘Good but Not Important, Important but Not Good-the Death of A King’ Edward does other work like but not limited to: teaching university students with Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) and field research work with the Refugee Law Project, to mention a few.
